Apprenticeship in Germany is a highly regarded and widely practised vocational education and training system. The program typically lasts two to three years and combines theoretical classroom instruction with practical on-the-job training in a company or organization.
During the program, trainees have the opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become qualified professionals in a diverse range of fields. The training is highly structured and standardized, with strict requirements for both the curriculum and the qualifications of the trainers. Additionally, trainees are required to have a minimum level of B1 proficiency in the German language and hold at least a secondary school certificate to ensure they can fully engage and benefit from the program.
Students are paid monthly for three years, with an allowance ranging from €900 to €1200.
